Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal are Finalists for European Software Testing Awards

The list of finalists for the European Software Testing Awards was recently released. The Wall Street Journal, in partnership with Applause, is a finalist in the Best Mobile Testing Project category. Dow Jones is nominated with Applause in the Best User Experience (UX) Testing in a Project category.

The winners will be announced in a ceremony on November 21 in London.

The Wall Street Journal is known for its accuracy, credibility, and stellar content. But as digital grew in importance, the company realized that the method in which this content was consumed was just as important as the quality of the content itself. That’s why the engineering and product team at The Wall Street Journal made digital transformation its core focus, specifically focusing on the mobile experience.

In doing so, The Wall Street Journal transformed into a digital company and made tremendous improvements to its iOS mobile app by utilizing real readers in the United States to test in real-world locations on actual devices to give honest and constructive feedback.

As the parent company of The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones wanted to improve its digital experience across all its properties. To accomplish this task, Dow Jones revamped its customer center, partner site, and mobile app experience. The company wanted to improve the user experience of all three digital properties to provide mobile and web experiences that were not only built for their audiences, but guided by these audiences.

To get these audiences involved, Dow Jones worked with Applause to source feedback from customers in the United States and partners in Japan to learn how they could improve their overall user experience.

Now in its sixth year, The European Software Testing Awards celebrates companies and individuals who have accomplished significant achievements in the software testing and quality assurance market.

Congratulations to The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones for their remarkable testing strategies and nominations for awards!
