Applause Once Again Named One of the Best Places to Work in Boston
Boston Business Journal announced the 2020 Best Places to Work earlier this month, and Applause was once again recognized. The honor comes one month after Inc. Magazine listed Applause as one of the Top Places to Work in the United States.
Applause takes PRIDE in consistently being recognized as a top workplace by focusing on creating a culture of collaboration, which is set forth in the company’s five core values:

As Applause transitioned to a work-from-home environment, Applause recognized the importance of maintaining the culture and values and has continued to excel.
Applause has a tremendous willingness to give back to the community, showing that we are in it together with both our coworkers and those around us. Whether it’s through one of our initiatives with the United Way of Tri-County – like the Back to School Backpack Drive, the Thanksgiving Food Drive or the Hope for the Holidays gift program – or a fundraiser that is unique to Applause.
This year to honor Juneteenth, Applause challenged its employees to get moving and log miles – walking, riding, biking, hiking, playing sports, etc. – over a two-day period of June 19 and 20. For every mile logged, Applause donated money to Dream Corps Tech, a national program cultivating future leaders and entrepreneurs from underrepresented backgrounds, creating a pipeline of diverse talent that will shift the culture of the tech sector.
Applause Nation crushed it! It went above and beyond in accepting the challenge, and racked up the miles so it could present a generous donation. Employees logged 2,500 miles, and Applause donated four times the amount of miles for a grand total of $10,000 to Dream Corps Tech.
Not only did team members embrace the challenge, they posted about it in the Applause Spirit Week Slack channel, where all employees have been keeping in touch with daily prompts since transitioning to a remote work setup in early March.
