Applause Receives the Live United Award for Volunteer and Fundraising Efforts

At Applause, we take community outreach seriously. Our team is always willing to donate time and resources to help out in whatever way possible. This dedication has paid off as Applause will be awarded the Live United Award at tonight’s Shining Stars reception hosted by United Way of Tri-County.

This is the first year the charitable organization is hosting the Shining Stars reception and Applause is the only business being honored with a Live United award at the celebration. In April, Applause received United Way’s Good Neighbor Award as part of a separate reception hosted by the charitable organization.

Applause participates in a variety of initiatives with United Way. A yearly staple with the organization is the Hope for the Holidays program where companies raise money to purchase gifts for underprivileged children. As a whole, Applause raised more than $10,000 for the program and delivered holiday cheer to the community. We even arranged for Santa himself to pick up the presents!

Applause Nation also volunteers every quarter at the Pearl Street Cupboard and Café. Pearl Street Cupboard & Café supports individuals and families who find themselves experiencing economic and personal challenges by providing food assistance and programs that promote self-sufficiency free of charge. Applause also participates in the annual Thanksgiving food drive, donating 273 pounds of food to the Pearl Street Cupboard & Café this year alone.

Every year, the Applause team donates time and supplies as part of the Tools for School backpack drive. This year, Applause donated 60 backpacks filled with school supplies to underprivileged students in the area. Applause also competed in United Way’s corporate 5k with 23 team members taking part in the race.

The Live United Award is a great honor and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and care that all of Applause Nation takes in its mission to improve our surrounding community.
