New Analyst Research Names Applause a Leader Across Seven Key Categories

NelsonHall, a research firm with analysts based in the US, UK and continental Europe, recently published its biennial NEAT (NelsonHall Vendor Evaluation & Assessment Tool) research on the crowdtesting market.

This NEAT analyzes the performance of vendors offering software testing services using the crowdtesting model. The NEAT tool allows strategic sourcing managers to assess the capability of vendors across a range of criteria and business situations to identify the best performing vendors across the following seven categories:

  1. Best Performing Vendors Overall

  2. Agile Crowdtesting Services

  3. Specialized Services

  4. UX Research

  5. Next-Generation Crowdtesting Services

  6. Best Performing Vendors in North America

  7. Best Performing Vendors in Europe

There was a familiar name at the top of all seven categories, as Applause was positioned as a leader in each section.

In particular, NelsonHall highlighted Applause’s size and scale that, combined with partnerships with leading systems integrators like Accenture and Infosys, contribute to Applause’s visibility and standing as the largest vendor in the crowdtesting market. The analyst firm noted that the size and reach of the uTest community enables Applause to meet the coverage needs – including demographic, geography, language, device, operating system and more – of clients quickly and on a global level.

NelsonHall also highlighted Applause’s investment and innovation in both its testing services and software IP. This comes on the heels of Applause’s recent announcement of the Product Excellence Platform (PEP), a first-of-its-kind platform that takes a comprehensive approach to digital quality by combining world-class software products, an enterprise-grade SaaS testing infrastructure, a wide range of digital testing solutions and access to the world’s largest community of digital experts. The Product Excellence Platform is designed to give brands the insights and expertise they need to release their digital assets with greater velocity and confidence.

Being positioned as a leader in the crowdtesting industry is nothing new to Applause. NelsonHall’s last version of the NEAT research, which was published in 2019, also ranked Applause as a leader in the market.
